Maria G Eckley is a daughter, a sister of 4 beautiful human beings, a mother and wife. She’s the Founder of Ayurveda Living by ME in San Diego California.

She may have helped you check in at your local yoga studio, Chula Vista Yoga Center (CVYC), or maybe you have taken one of her classes.

A little bit about Chula Vista Yoga Center

This studio has been her dear home since 2006. She started as a student and years later became the owner of this magical space.

Maria started managing CVYC in 2012 with an open heart and desire, ready to continue the legacy that the space has offered to many in the community.

She fell in love with yoga, since starting her practice 16 years ago.

According to Ayurveda, the beginning of disease starts in the digestive system. If you have digestive symptoms, it could result in malabsorption of nutrients.

#Ayurveda says it is more important “how” we eat than “what” we eat.. send me a DM with your email. I will send you a list of 14 things you can do without changing your #diet to help with any digestive issues. 95% of the time, these symptoms will ease if you follow one or two of these recommendations, depending on your constitution. Even when you have made up your mind to do something, it will take some time for you to actually do it.
We think about that phone call, the drive to the place or organization.. give yourself encouragement. Then
The question is: Are you uncomfortable enough to want to make a change? If you are, then:
Do you have what is required?
One step at the time.

It’s simple; lol

We need to start making
TIME. Prioritize your daily routines, before anything else. That includes work, family, responsibilities, furry families, colleagues, friends… all of it. It’s not easy, never has been, it will never be.. but it can be done with some real effort.

The first recommendation for a patient starts as simple as;
Taking 3 DEEP BREATHS BEFORE YOUR MEALS.

It takes a while to take the first step; at least

It takes a while to take the first step; at least for me. Finally, starting to feel comfortable making my own food, how to combine, what spices to use.. learning to feel and understand, how does the food I eat make me feel right after, a few hours after, the next morning.

Compassion and determination is necessary to make a change. It’s important to go One step at a time.

Super simple to make this cheese or paneer:

1 litre of whole milk (organic non processed)
3-4 lemons 🍋 🍋‍🟩 (here I combined both)
Boil the milk at very low temperature. Once it’s boiling, add the lemon juice, turn off the stove. Keep stirring gently, until you see the crumbles of cheese coming together and the yellow liquid completely separates form the solid parts of the milk.

Getting out in the sun is important. A 15 min walk, a little more or less, to get all the benefits of the sun (using protection, 🧢 long sleeves, etc...).
#Gardening getting in touch with water and the elements, specially now that the summer is right around the corner.

Getting ready for my friend @monica.harari.90 that’s coming to our studio with her New store, Herborium. She’ll be using these boxes to grow herbs.

This is such a great addition to our Studio and our Ayurveda patients.
